What is Scalp Micro Pigmentation?

Scalp Micro Pigmentation or SMP is the most innovative and naturally camouflaged form of restoring the look of hair in balding men and women. This option is great for those who find themselves balding early in life, have receding hairlines, or scarification that needs camouflaging. Essentially Cassandra will tattoo tiny, realistic impressions to mimic real hair growth in buzzed hair. The pigmented area does not interfere with natural hair growth or hair transplants, and becomes completely undetectable.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Each SMP client will receive 3 sessions in their quotes price. This is necessary in order to build a hyper-realistic and perfectly camouflaged pigmentation. The length of each client's sessions will differ depending the degree of work needed to complete the treatment area. When booking your SMP Sessions, we will discuss with out the length of sessions, cost, and degree of work desired.

3-5 HOURS

DOES EVERYBODY NEED 3 SESSIONS?

Yes, the first two sessions are to layer the impressions or "hairs" being added to the scalp. This is what give this treatment it's 3D hyper-realistic look. The Third session is to touchup any lost pigment throughout your healing period, and refresh the colour to ensure long lasting results. Each SMP client of CB Beauty will receive 3 sessions.

The 2nd session is performed 14 days after the 1st. The final session is performed 4 weeks after the 2nd.

HOW MUCH DOES SMP COST?

As an industry standard, we quote pricing for SMP is based off the Norwood Scale for Pattern Baldness. Prices can range from $500-$4,100 depending on each client's degree of hair loss. You must book in for a complimentary consultation with our SMP Specialist in order to give you a formal quote. We will discuss the treatment with you, and what degree of work is needed to perfectly blend your SMP into your natural hair growth.

AFTERCARE

Aftercare can easily be one of the most important aspects of maintaining perfectly blended SMP. Follow your aftercare diligently to ensure proper healing, crisp and clean impressions, and long lasting results!

AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

For 10 days:

  • No showering, or touching the treatment area
  • No shaving treatment area
  • Avoid excessive sweating
  • No swimming, steam rooms, tanning, saunas or hot tubs
  • Avoid direct sunlight
  • No blade shaving
  • Ensure you are laundering your bed linens daily

WHAT TO EXPECT

Day 1-5:

Redness, slight swelling, tenderness, dark pigment

Day 5-14:

You can start trimming hair with clippers, do not use razors or shave to the scalp

Day 14

You will have your second session, to add another layer and create the 3D finished look!

After this appointment you will follow the same aftercare as the first session for 14 days.
